Abortion Activists: The Most Radical Among Us

Promoting death. Simply (and accurately) stated, that’s what abortion activists are doing. Making the deaths of innocents easier and with less guilt. In my opinion, this is evil.

Listen to a couple of these quotes:

“The argument that women who become pregnant have in some sense consented to the pregnancy belies reality…and others who are the inevitable losers in the contraceptive lottery no more ‘consent’ to pregnancy than pedestrians ‘consent’ to being struck by drunk drivers.’”

Is there a break with reality there? What a poor example.

“The woman is constantly aware for nine months that her body is not wholly her own: the state has conscripted her body for its own ends. Thus, abortion restrictions ‘reduce pregnant women to no more than fetal containers.’”

The state? The state didn’t “lure” her into having sex. If she should be upset with someone, it should be pop culture with glorifies sex as society’s highest goal. Ok, just one more.

“Statutes that curtail her abortion choice are disturbingly suggestive of involuntary servitude, prohibited by the Thirteenth Amendment, in that forced pregnancy requires a woman to provide continuous physical service to the fetus in order to further the state’s asserted interest.”

Right. Forced. We should just change the laws of nature so that sex can never result in a human life and then this person might be happy. Curious who said these outrageous things? The answer is Dawn Johnsen. President Obama just appointed her to head the Office of Legal Counsel in the Department of Justice.

I think a moment of prayer would be worthwhile. Then head over to the SBA List and join the fight to protect the unborn innocents.

Obama Removes Roadblock to Taxpayer Funded Abortion Overseas

This from the respected Susan B. Anthony List. It seems Obama has wasted no time to make the world a less safe place for unborn babies.

“… From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.” -Luke 12:48

Dear Friend,

Sadly, what I have been warning you about has come to pass.

Today, in a quiet, low-key ceremony, President Obama, has overturned the pro-life Mexico City Policy.

The Mexico City Policy, which President Bush enacted on his first day in office, was originally established by President Reagan to keep your money from overseas abortion providers.

President Obama campaigned on finding ‘common ground’ on abortion policy, but his first presidential decision to roll back the commonsense Mexico City Policy signals to American taxpayers that the abortion bailout has begun.

It’s unfortunate that President Obama has made subsidizing international abortion groups one of his first priorities, even as abortion numbers here at home are on the decline. America should respond to women’s needs in developing countries with real assistance that also upholds their dignity, not by promoting or paying for abortions.

I am disappointed by President Obama’s decision to bypass the will of American taxpayers and promote the radical agenda of Planned Parenthood and the abortion lobby.

President Obama tried to pull a fast one on the country by holding a quiet ceremony on a Friday evening when the mainstream media wasn’t paying attention. President Obama must know how unpopular the funding of international abortions is, if he is trying so hard to hide it.

Thanks to your support we are able to make sure that the American people know what President Obama is up to! With your continued support we will be able to stop him from giving more money to abortion providers.

For Life,

Marjorie Dannenfelser
Susan B. Anthony List President

More Abortions a Priority for Obama Administration

People joke about the end of the world. I just wonder how long God can hold back while we choose to kill more and more unborn children. Honestly.

On the first day of the 111th Congress, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) sent a very clear message about what pro-lifers can expect from the next two years by introducing S. 21, “The Prevention First Act” that would direct hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to the abortion industry, a business that already receives over $286 million each year from federal taxpayers.

It should come as no surprise that Planned Parenthood, the largest supporter of unrestricted abortion, praised the bill. And why not? The abortion merchant will likely be the largest beneficiary of Reid’s abortion bailout. Among other things, the legislation would use taxpayer funds to mislead people about the potential of the “morning after pill” (known as Plan B) to act as an abortifacient.

It also encourages the use of Plan B for victims of sexual assault yet has no reporting requirement in place for young girls who may have been victims of abuse and/or rape. When you get right down to it, the bill does nothing to support parental involvement–let alone consent–for dispensing the morning after pill and other “contraception” to minors.

In addition to funding Plan B, the measure would also: subsidize birth control for college and low-income women; expand Title X, the main federal family planning program that requires abortion referrals; expand Planned Parenthood targeting of low-income women through Medicaid; target teens’ with “comprehensive” sex education; and spread emergency contraception. [from FRC]

I’d love to stand by and watch Harry Reid explain to God how this could possibly be a good thing.

Dojo Info 12/10/08

  1. Chef dies after eating ‘superhot’ chilli for bet
Then I guess there is such a thing as too hot.
  2. Abortion not seen linked with depression
More junk science (dishonesty!) as 3 of the 4 authors work for the university department of Population, Family, and Reproductive Health, which just happens to be funded by Planned Parenthood of Maryland. Disgusting. And they claim to be supporting the mothers. How about you lie to the pregnant mothers about anything negative with abortion just so you can make more money. If that’s not evil, than evil doesn’t exist. This stuff makes my blood boil.
  3. Rock Band 2 to get new instrument
Wha?… they keep us hanging on when we all know what we need is more cowbell.
  4. ComScore: 100 million YouTube viewers in October
On demand video? What a novel concept… I seem to remember hearing about this, oh, a decade or so ago. (Ok, I’ll stop being snide now.) The real question is how long before YouTube actually starts making a profit? (As a company, not just the executives.)
  5. Justice in Iraq: Moral progress since the days of Saddam.
This coming from the WSJ. Once Obama pulls us out of Iraq, how long before the evil influences find their way back to power?

The End of the World Draws Nigh

As many in our country are approaching Christmas with the idea to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the world seems to be moving in another direction. This morning I read that Planned Parenthood of Indiana is promoting the sale of gift certificates this Holiday season.

So… in the celebration of the birth of Christ, we’re supposed to purchase gift certificates that go towards the death of unborn babies.

*silence*

I freeze and try to fathom how God in heaven stands by and watches how we humans make choices so obviously evil.

With the incoming Administration and their stated beliefs that abortions should be more readily accessible and paid for by tax dollars, we can only expect the total number of abortions in America to increase.

If you’re interested, here are the facts on abortion in the United States.

Former Eagle Working to Help Blacks in Philly

I know I post a lot of negative news on here. I’m honestly trying to post less but it just seems the world around us is just so screwed up. So anyway, here’s a positive piece of news from the FRC about a former NFL player working to improve things in his hometown of Philly.

Rev. Herb Lusk is a big man with an even bigger heart. The former Philadelphia Eagle has spent his retirement from football transforming Pennsylvania-and the nation-for Christ. As pastor of Greater Exodus Baptist Church, Herb has been a tremendous friend to me and a powerful ally in the movement for faith, family, and freedom. This week, he and his People for People organization are taking that outreach to a new level by opening the Hope Center for pregnant women.

In a city where half of all black babies are aborted, Herb is praying his clinic will empower women to make positive decisions about their pregnancies. “When I began to consider that the African-American population alone has declined in the past three years across the nation, I realized that we’re not procreating our own race; and that is a direct result of abortion…”

Just minutes from the local Planned Parenthood clinic, Hope Center offers pregnant women something the abortion industry does not-the truth. With free counseling, resources, and parenting classes, the Hope Center will give women the support they need to make an informed decision. While Americans are bracing for the most pro-abortion president in history, Herb is committed to changing hearts where it matters most-at the local level. Rev. Lusk’s work is an important reminder to us all that no matter who is in the White House, the efforts to protect the unborn go on. Congratulations, Herb, for inspiring all of us to keep hope alive.

Roe Speaks Out Against Roe v. Wade

There’s much more to this story than this short commercial. Norma McCorvey has this important interview where she talks about how she was used by the pro-choice forces in their goal to overturn the Texas law that prohibited abortion.

FATHER PAVONE: “As I understand from your own autobiography, you did not go looking for these attorneys to try to make abortion legal.”

NORMA: “No, sir, quite the contrary. The adoption attorney that was handling the adoption case for my baby told me of these attorneys. They were Sarah Weddington and Linda Coffey. They were trying to overcome the Texas statute on abortion.”

It’s incredible that it was an adoption attorney that sent her to others fighting for abortion.
