Obama Anthem
With all the Obama love across the board, it’s only fitting that he have his own anthem, right? [via Tasty Infidelicacies]
Ken Will Smash the Competition on Survivor
I haven’t seen a single competitor for this year’s Survivor but I already know who I’ll be cheering for. It’s the worlds top Super Smash player. Oh yeah baby, it’s on. [via kotaku]
Premiere airs September 25th.
Donald Williams Becomes a Wildcat

Just a quick post to say that Coach G. just doesn’t sleep. It’s non-stop basketball with this guy. Donald Williams (08) is the latest to join the Wildcats and is a big surprise. Before this summer, few had been saying much about him but after his great play at the Bob Gibbons TOC, he flew up the charts.

- Your mom is in Rock Band 2
The reviews of RB2 are starting to trickle in. This one is very meager. Here’s a longer one about character generation. I saved the best for last, the ad lib drum machine gameplay. - $5 cover charge for Rock Band 2 backward compatibility
Unfortunate that those making massive jack on us aren’t going to foot the bill for true backward compatibility. Oh so lame. - Ohio Student Aces ACT and SAT Tests
Obviously, Ray spends more time practicing standardized tests than playing Rock Band. His loss. - American Launches In-flight Internet on 3 Routes
It was just a matter of time. Good for American. Well, not good exactly since they’re charging for it, but you get the idea. - Rock Band 2: Rated
“Complete rankings of every song in Harmonix’s sequel, from the easiest to the utterly impossible.” Way to go IGN!
Hong Kong Is a Modern Marvel
For some reason, I get Hong Kong and Singapore confused. But no longer. Look at the amazing photo!?! I can hardly believe it’s real.
I wonder if some of China’s new found desire towards (at least) the benefits of free markets stem from their acquisition of Hong Kong in 1997?
‘Moving Pictures’ Comes to Rock Band, Rush Fans Rejoice

The only thing you need to know is Moving Pictures will be on XBox Marketplace on Thursday. Good night now.
Update: Now I’m reading Aug. 26th!
Update 2: I just checked, 9:42 EST, and it’s not there yet. 8^(
Update 3: Argh!
Bad news, everyone! This week’s Rock Band DLC offering — Rush’s Moving Pictures album — didn’t come out today as planned. In a post on the forums, Harmonix’s Sean Baptiste said, “There is a technical difficulty that is being worked out. I’ll alert you when it is all clear.” We wonder if that has anything to do with figuring out how to tell singers they can’t wail on “YYZ.” It’s okay, please stop crying.
No timeline has been given, although at this point it seems more likely the Xbox 360 content will be released alongside PlayStation 3′s content this week. That is, assuming they fix the problem by Thursday.
Cuban Olympian Assaults Referee
Cuba must be tough on their athletes. Castro say, “Win or die trying!”
Amazingly, the AP short makes no mention about the ref needing complete, facial re-constructive surgery… or not.

The Greatest Injustice of our Time

About a year ago, I changed my site’s tagline to:
Peace is not the absence of war but the presence of justice.
To me, the heart of the abortion issue is justice. It simply isn’t fair that an unborn human doesn’t get to live simply because the older human wants it this way.
Meanwhile, in a related issue it’s entirely unjust that Planned Parenthood, who is designated as a non-profit, reported $114.8 million in profit during their last fiscal year.
Ready for the kicker? $336 million went to them through government grants and contracts. That’s right… our tax dollars. Every one of us “gave” to Planned Parenthood whether we wanted to or not, so that they could help mothers kill their unborn children while making tons of money in the process.
It just doesn’t seem fair, does it?
Did You Know That China Was Fake, Fake, Fake?
Rick Reilly does a good job shining the light of truth on the image conscious Communists who don’t want the rest of the world seeing them for the royal fakes that they are.

Ha! What a mean article but I can’t argue with it. #1 HAS to be the Soviet’s literally stealing the gold from the Americans. I was very young when this happened but remember thinking it totally sucked! The other one, that’s not on the list, was Roy Jones Jr. when the judges at the South Korean Olympics gave the gold to South Korean Park Si-Hun. What a sham! See it for yourself. - “Star Trek Online” Is Ready to Beam Up

Obama Steering America Towards ‘Anything Goes’
The FRC is on top of this stuff. No way you hear about all this from the mainstream media as they work to polish and buff Sen. Obama’s image at every turn.
As both sides gear up for the conventions this month, one thing is clear. This is not your grandparents’ Democratic party. Same-sex marriage. Abortion-on-demand. Comprehensive sex education. They all add up to the most radical platform ever to make an appearance at the Democratic convention.
For the first time in history, the Democratic planks will call for the repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. Democrats put in writing their intent to defeat any effort to weaken Roe v. Wade. This is the face of the Left under Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) who is single-handedly recasting his party in the image of NARAL and the Human Rights Campaign.
Although the last Democratic president, Bill Clinton, was the one who signed DOMA into law, Sen. Obama is adamant about repealing it, an act that would leave every state in America at risk of being forced to recognize homosexual marriage. His congressional cohorts tried a similar strategy in Congress and failed to find support for their extreme agenda among families. To the dismay of voters across the country, the leadership used their majority status to push the Employment Nondiscrimination Act (ENDA), introduced numerous pieces of legislation that would give spousal benefits to gay couples, and even held a hearing on the possible repeal of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. With approval ratings in the single-digits, it it’s obvious that the liberal agenda didn’t resonate with voters then-and even hidden behind Obama’s flowery rhetoric, it’s unlikely to appeal to Americans now.
I have sincere fears about where the country will go with this kind of leadership should Obama win the election. Those who choose to ignore what God says is “right” will inevitably pay the price.

Lezak, Team Bring Home World-Record Gold for America
In one of the most amazing races ever (at least in my opinion), the American’s won the 4×100 Freestyle Relay both beating the favorite French who’d been smack talking before the race about how they’d “smash” the Americans and absolutely destroying the world record time by an astounding 4 seconds (3:08.24)!
Michael Phelps has been getting all the pub, and he deserves it, but the hero tonight was Jason Lezak. All he did was swim the fastest split time in history (46.06) when his team looked like it was have to settle for silver.
Down by a half-body length in the final 50-meters, he turned into an Evinrude and closed the distance to win by the smallest margin in the event’s history. If you didn’t see it go here now. Wow!
Update: I’m such a geek (you know this right?) so I wanted to see how the race played out time-wise. Of course, nothing communicates as well as video, but I thought it interesting how Phelp’s time wasn’t as fast as I thought it might be and Weber’s was faster.
