Considering that academia at large has prided itself on being the intellectual authority on planet Earth, how do you suppose this “study” shall conclude? (Can you tell that I’m naturally pessimistic?)

You can help ease New Orleans’ pain
While cities like Vegas and New Orleans are Simmons’ trip du jour, they’re not mine. I feel the pain of a city rebuilding but the French Quarter, and places like it are not exactly a healthy environments.
I, however, am NOT so pessimistic. While scientists as a group probably include the most avowed atheists and agnostics, some of the most deeply religious people I have ever known have been colleagues….

Caltechgirl, you aren’t as far removed from higher education as I am so I trust you opinion.
It’s been my experience that those individuals you describe, are as rare as upside-down airplane stamps on a college campus. (My inner Philatelist tossed in that metaphor so sue me. *wink*)
