Athiests Under Fire

Came across this article today about how some athiests have been threatened because of their beliefs. It’s sad really. For a person who claims to follow Christ to anonymously condemn another without love, without true knowledge is beyond immature, it’s evil.

People who behave this way are the ones that Christ will say, “should have known better.” The very person we claim to follow instructed us:

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. [link]

Showing love to those who work towards removing faith from public life is extremely difficult. It’s much easier to make fun of them. But no one said it would be easy to follow in the footsteps of the only perfect man.

Saddam Hangs

I knew it was a good day and just didn’t know why.

Astonishing pictures of Saddam’s last moments were beamed around the world by Arab television. The grainy footage showed masked hangmen putting the noose around Saddam’s neck, but did not show Saddam’s actual moment of death. [link]

Now he can have that conversation with God we were talking about.

Best of the Online Games: ZWoK!

Next up is a very well done game from those mad minds at BLOCgames. They have a lot to choose from so take your time. But make sure, while you’re there, to give ZWoK! a shot. It’s a charming little 3-on-3 snowball fight of sorts. Just think Tim Burton meets Dodgeball. Stellar!

Best Online Games: kdice.com

With all that I’ve invested in free, online games over the Holidays, I thought it would be fitting for me to share wealth, as it were. So I’ll be posting some of the best online games that I’ve been playing. I’ll leave the more “important” topics for other blogs. ;^)

As of right now, my favorite is kdice.com. It’s well made and great fun… and best of all it’s free! Just think Risk, but easier and far faster.

Head over now and sign up. You’ll thank me later. (You will thank me later, right?)

  1. Company develops virtual meal technology
I can’t decide if this is more a) cool or b) sad.
  2. 12 ideas to keep off holiday pounds from a guy who knows our food triggers
My favorite: “Sit next to the slowest eater at the table and use that person to pace yourself. Always be the last one to start eating, and set your fork down after every bite.” Nothing like anti-competitive eating to liven up an event!
  3. Card From ’53 Still Exchanged by Friends
Our family exchanges a pecan log. I’m not kidding.
  4. Wii-diculous – Playing the Wii in a Movie Theater
So you thought you had a big screen TV.
  5. Dogma Without God, Fallen angels assault heaven at Christmas
Despite the claims of many, there is an underlying anti-Christianity sentiment in many Americans today. These are usually the same people whose mantra is “Do not discriminate or oppress” while they carry-on doing exactly that.

Guitar Hero 2

I’m only taking the briefest of breaks to make this post, then it’s back to Guitar Hero. It’s the 2nd best video game ever and the addiction has taken hold. I don’t know if I’ll sleep tonight. Still need to figure out how to plug headphones in that TV in the basement, but… yes, I’ll have to find a way, no won’t I?

[Now, if you're thinking about buying this game for younger kids, please keep in mind that while most every song is cool to play musically, rock-n-roll isn't exactly known for being a positive influence with their messages. The lyrics to some of these songs are quite evil. Just wanted to let you know. Ok, back to GH2.]

It’s Gilbert’s World, We Just Watch Him Shoot

Arenas spurns ‘hibachi’ in response to Kobe’s beef

Umm… that’s a pretty strange headline. But once you get to know Gilbert’s flavor, it’s all part of his M.O.

I’m a Christ Follower

Above is the first in a series of parodies comparing a Christ Follower and a Christian. It all comes down to behaving like Christ; do we or don’t we? At this time if year, it’s especially notable to consider the type of life Jesus led and what that means to all of us. [via Negative99]

Merry Christmas!

Talk Like You Mean It

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland

“You have a Midland accent” is just another way of saying “you don’t have an accent.” You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.
