There’s Bad, Then There’s Humps

You know a song has got to be bad if Slate, the please everyone eZine, takes a popular band like the Black Eyed Peas to task for their craptacular song My Humps. I think the more obvious question is why critics didn’t see the light sooner.

  • I always thought those guys overrated, but man, that is a bad, bad song. It’s not catchy, there’s no dance rhythm to it, and the lyrics are just plain stupid.

It almost makes you wonder about payola…

  • I think part of it is ego. Everyone tells you, “You’re great!” and so you don’t give it your best effort. It’s human nature. Either that, or one of their cousins blackmailed them into putting his craptacular song on the record. Tough call.
