What Kind of Killer Are You?
But of course I am:
You are a Samurai.
You are full of honour and value respect. You
are not really the stereotypical hero, but you
do fight for good. Just in your own way. For
you, it is most certainly okay to kill an evil
person, if it is for justice and peace. You
also don’t belive in mourning all the time and
think that once you’ve hit a bad stage in life
you just have to get up again. It’s pointless
to concentrate on emotional pain and better to
just get on with everything. You also are a
down to earth type of person and think before
you act. Impulsive people may annoy you
somewhat.

You Are a Henna Gaijin! |
![]() You’re not Japanese, but you wish you were! You can use chopsticks with your eyes closed, and you’ve memorized hundreds of Kanji. You even answer your phone “moshi moshi.” While the number of anime videos you’ve seen is way higher than the number of dates you’ve been on, there’s hope. Play the sexy, mysterous gaijin, and you’ll have plenty of Japanese meat. |

Survivor Guatamala: Week 8
Oh dopey me. Why I didn’t see that coming I’ll never know. Four people merge with six people and here I am thinking one of the six is going home? What? Have I never watched the show before?
Well, at least I guessed that Gary would win the challenges. Yes, both of them. Big time points for the Commish this week folks. I’m up to #2 and challenging the Cyclonic. (That doesn’t sound good, does it?)
Cindy, like everyone in the country, is getting fed up with her tribemates. Especially Judd and Jamie. If someone doesn’t take them out soon, she might go all Jane Goodall. She’s got that look, plus she’s a zookeeper. I’m not making this up.
If you thought Jamie’s bad attitude was bad last week, this week he cranked it up a notch. It’s obvious he feels that he and Judd rule the game. What’s not clear is whether or not Cindy, Rafe and Lydia will put up with his cocky antics.
I was wrong about Judd being the BAotI (Biggest Ass on the Island). Turns out Jamie has just passed him on the outside lane. But don’t worry, Judd has time to make up the ground and with a mouth like his, I wouldn’t bet against him.
Once everyone’s early exit pick, now Lydia has made it to at least the Jury and maybe beyond. If she plays her cards right, she could be walking away with more cash than this fishmonger has seen in her life.
Go go Mr. Happy! I’m starting to like Rafe. Sure, he’s a little frail and fraught with uncertainty, but he’s nice. And nice gets big points in my book. Teaming up with Lydia and Cindy would be the smart strategy, but we might be a week away since they’ll still want to remove the newcomers first.
Steph is in a good spot. She’s tight with the JJ coalition and still friendly with Rafe and his underlings class. Down the wire she could still win some challenges and pull this thing out. Plus, she’s on a winning team for once. I’m sure she’s psyched.
C’mon, tell the truth. You all wished Bobby Jon had punched Jamie in the face. I know I did. How ’bout we pool our money and make it happy? Who wouldn’t love that?
Doesn’t look like the Danni, Bobby Jon and Gary group will have much of a chance, unless they start a major offensive. Here’s the strategy. It could work! Danni goes to Rafe to talk down the JJs. While this is going on Gary gets with Lydia and talks about all they have in common, you know, being part of the older crowd. It’s possible that the good in Rafe and Lydia will overpower their own selfish desires and they turn on the JJs. I’m not saying it will happen, but it’s all that’s left for the smaller group.
Looks like Gary or Bobby Jon is gone next. It’s 4th down and 19 to go, 2:53 on the clock and he needs a first down. Can he bring his team back from the edge of defeat?
Fantasy Survivor is still happening. I’ll post the updated scores before next week’s show. Good luck! (To everyone but the Cyclonic. No hard feelings mate.)
Fuel to the Fire
The University of Kentucky men’s basketball team doesn’t play Tennessee for another three months, but when they do… lookout! It’s come to the attention of this sports fan that Tennessee’s new head coach, Bruce Pearl, has some very plain thoughts about people in the south.
Catch this exerpt from an article in the Milwaukee Magazine published last year, oh yes, before he took the Tennessee job.
And so it was that the Jewish coach’s road to redemption would begin in Evansville, Indiana, on the banks of the Ohio River, where scarcely a synagogue could be found.
“It was South,†says Pearl. “Shit, it was a little too close to Kentucky.â€
“It was way too close to Kentucky,†says Kim. “I didn’t care for it. It was a little too red neck. Very red neck.… My kids were the only Jews in their school. So when we had Jewish holidays, they had to go to school because school wasn’t closed.â€
I wonder how many of those “red neck” Tennessee fans know how their coach feels about them?

- Media Get It Wrong Again….um…Twice
Media bias does exist and finally people are starting to recognize it. - Telecommuters: Beware the tax man

So, as usual, the self-proclaimed Keepers of the Just Watch (generally known as noser-parkers and busy bodies) are crying because they didn’t know about the terrorists we have in lockup. What did they think we were doing with them? Chauffeuring them back-and-forth between Chuck E. Cheese and the Motel 6? - New Cats crowd-pleasers
Kentucky begins its basketball season with the rapid dismantling of Division II Northern State 80-51. Sure it was only exhibition, but many times teams look past easier competition. Gotta love newcomers Jared Carter.
Survivor Reminder

As you can probably tell, Cyclonic is cleaning everyone’s clock in Fantasy Survivor. There’s still time for a comeback! Join up quick.
Baby Charlotte Turns Two
Even when the doctors say there’s no hope; even when your friends tell you to move on; even when the world seems to say, “You’re not worth much.”
Persevere. God greatly values each life.
It’s great to see that Charlotte is still with us. If anything is worth fighting for, it’s life. How people can consider other factors more important is ultimately a “me first” attitude.
Name Paladin’s Musuko Contest

I saw that Dane Carlson has a perposterous number of comments to his name our child post and thought… what could it hurt? (Well, aside from my wife not speaking with me or worse…)
So I started a contest of my own! From today until the end of the year, I’m taking entries in the Name Paladin’s Musuko Contest. (Musuko is japanese for “son.”) People love contests, right?
All you have to do follow these simples rules when you add a comment to this post:
- I like “different” names. My wife doesn’t like “weird” names. Take it for what it’s worth. Feel free to use the coolest Java app on the Net.
- Can’t have the “en” or long “a” sound to keep this little type separate from our first two.
- If you type “Stan” you won’t win.
- There’s no guarentee you’ll win, but if you do, Wow! That’ll be something you can tell your grandkids.
- Explaining why you think it’s a good name will improve your chances of winning the grand prize.
- There’s no real grand prize. Sorry if I got your hopes up.
- If you link to this post with your blog, you’ll get bonus points.
- There are no actual bonus points.
- The due date is February 5th if that helps you.
Ok, with the rules out of the way, have at it and may the best name win!
Update: It’s come to my attention that some folks have thought the baby in the picture was our kid. Yeah he’s cute, but c’mon… our boy is a fraction of that size. He’s only 26 weeks pre-born. 8^)
What’s It Worth?
I’m a bit perplexed, but it seems I have a communication problem. My URL has been for years, trepryor.com, thusly:

My blog is worth $89,761.86.
How much is your blog worth?
but I’ve also directed 21stcenturypaladin.com at the same exact Web site. Same content, same silly humor, same slow-loading graphics. And what does that get me?

My blog is worth $0.00.
How much is your blog worth?
Could you please, for the love of Pete, tell everyone you know that my URL has changed? We really need something to leave the kids when we die we all know that Social Security isn’t gonna do it.
Paladin and his family thanks you.
