Lego Underground

On the year’s busiest shopping day, it’s only fitting to highlight the dangers of living in a society where consumerism is blaring out of every possible media outlet. Today’s winner is William Swanberg of Reno, Nevada who has been arrested for stealing more than $200,000 worth of Lego’s. Target security guards stopped Swanberg after he bought 10 boxes of the Star Wars Millennium Falcon set. Legoland had no comments.

Interesting. Lego should consider the Lego Bank Robbery set, the Lego Mixed Felony Box or the Lego Available Female High School Teacher as part of the line-up. The entire Lego concept is much too clean…out kids had them, the most sinister thing being the curling pirate moustaches. It left them pretty cold.

Precisely, Paladin. Consider that toy figures are manifestations of the child’s ego, and his/her need to control and create. Little figures with smiley faces are contrary to what the kid needs in the first place, symbols of good and evil. How else are they going to become conservatives?
