Wolves in the Hen House
Remember that nasty program called Gator? It was the particularly heinous one that would load all kinds of spyware, popups and all-around craziness. Well, they’ve gone through the witness protection process and came out with a spiffy, new name—Claria. So now, imagine my surprise to learn that the DoH has appointed this one-time cyber-bully to the federal privacy advisory board. Can you say, “What the?!?!”
Maybe software companies can be rehabilitated where thieves and murderers can’t?
