Iraqi Elections Huge Success
Despite all we’ve been hearing about how voter turnout would be “low” and “timid” the exact opposite is the case. Some estimates have it over 60%. It seems our journalists underestimated their resolve. My hat is off to Iraq beginning the journey of democracy, one we’ve only been on ourselves for two fast centuries. There’s some great stuff over at Friends of Democracy, coming directly from the Iraqi people.
