Cuban Gets Distribution
Todd Wagner and partner Mark Cuban run HDNet, among other things. Now they’ve purchased Landmark Theatres in an attempt to form a complete vertical segment for movie creators to design, build and distribute their work. Traditional channels present an impregnatable fortress to the indie crowd. Verticals rarely succeed in real life (see Focus) but working towards the goal of giving more movie makers a chance to produce is a noble one. [via BoingBoing]
