Gutenberg Bible Digitized for Internet
In a painstaking process, the University of Texas has digitized their copy of a Gutenberg Bible, the first book to be printed on a movable type press. One of only 5 in the country, the Universitys’ is the first to be completely digitized and made available online. Scanning only took a couple of days but adjusting the digital images then building the site took about a year. Amazing work on a true work of art. [via cookiecrook]
