How to Squash the Spams
More news on the spam front. Now Senator Chuck Schumer of New York has a bill before Congress with measures to create a Do Not Spam list a la the Do Not Call list currently under development by the FTC. Seems he wasn’t that interested in this topic until he witnessed his 14-year-old daughter checking her email account. Nothing like first-hand experience, huh? But I think the best solutions generally come from people most knowledgable on the topic. Until the senders have a vested interest (cost) in the situation, they’ll find ways around the law.
